Fadlu Reacts To Simba’s Comeback Win In Title Chase

Simba SC head coach Fadlu Davids has emphasized his side’s target of 12 points in their last four matches as they look to pip rivals Young Africans to the Tanzanian Premier League title.

David’s charges kept the pressure on Yanga at the top moving to within one point after they rallied from a goal down to beat KMC 2-1 at the weekend.

Simba were left stunned as the home side took the lead just eight minutes in through Rashid Chambo but Steven Mukwala soon equalised in the 16th minute before grabbing his brace in the 47th minute as they held on for the three points.

The South African tactician has now urged his troops to target nothing but 12 points in their last four matches including the Kariakoo Derby against nemesis Yanga on 15 June 2025. The latter won the reverse fixture 1-0 in October 2024.

“It’s very difficult to switch from the semi-final euphoria,” Davids said after the match.

“Coming at the airport, we had a meeting now to say,’Okay, this is what ahead of us in 10 days we have these four matches.’

“And of course we want 12 points. Trust me and the technical team in relation to who plays.”
