Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Cassius Mailula scored his first goal for Wydad Athletic Club to hand Rulani Mokwena a much-needed win.
Mailula has had a tough start to life in Casablanca but scored the all-important 1-0 winner against FUS Rabat on Sunday.
Mailula came off the bench in the 58th minutes with the game at 0-0 but scored a 88th-minute winner.
The goal ended Mokwena’s run of successive defeats and saw Wydad climb up the table into fourth place.
Wydad now have 14 points from nine games after collecting four wins, two draws and three defeats.
