France Ligue 2 side EA Guingamp have extended the stay of South African midfielder Lebogang Phiri.
Phiri, 28, returned to Guingamp in January after he had a short spell with another Ligue 2 side Paris, who finished fifth and qualified for the promotional playoffs.
The former Bröndby IF midfielder made 19 appearances for Paris before leaving them. But he played just over 150 minutes across nine matches for Guingamp on his return to the side he already played for between 2017 and 2021.
It has officially been announced by Guingamp that they’ve extended the contract with Phiri until June 2025, as his current contract was set to expire end of this month.

Phiri is on his eighth year in Europe, having left South Africa in June 2013. His experience is seen as the one that could help Guingamp to gain promotion to the elite league.
