Rulani Mokwena‘s Pyramids FC continued their 100% start record in the Egyptian Premier League after beating El Gouna 1-0 on Wednesday.
Mokwena joined the Egyptian giants in the off-season and has had the perfect start to life in Egypt so far.
On Wednesday, the 2024/25 CAF Champions League winners continued their perfect start, with another victory and a clean sheet.
The fonly goal of the match came in the 56th minute via an own goal by Khaled Ahmed. Pyramids could’ve extended their after 72 minutes Nasser Maher missed a penalty kick.
Mostafa Ziko thought he Pyramids’ second goal in the 90th minute but it was ruled out after VAR review.
The win saw Pyramids reclaim the the top of the log, with 12 points from four games – two points ahead of Zamalek.
