Rulani Mokwena’s Pyramids FC made it three wins out of three games after securing a narrow 1-0 win over Al-Masry.
Pyramids came to the game sitting top of the Egyptian Premier League after winning both matches against Ghazl El Mahalla and Abu Qir Fertilizers, while Al-Masry had also started with two wins.

The latter have also been a difficult team to beat for Pyramids, as they last won against them in May 2024, and since then there’ve been three draws and a win for Al-Masry.
The 2024/25 CAF Champions League winners took the lead in the 11th through club veteran Ahmed Samy and that remained the decisive goal of the night.
Mokwena’s team managed to keep their third clean sheet and extended their run to three wins on the bounce.
Pyramids reclimbed to the top with nine points and six goals scored.
The Egyptian side will begin their CAF Champions League campaign this coming weekend away from home against Kenyan side Gor Mahia FC.
