Premier league side Burnely have announced that Bafana Bafana striker Lyle Foster has penned a new five-year deal with the club until June 2028.
Foster, 23, had a great start to his inaugural Premier league campaign, scoring three goals and setting up two more for the newly-promoted side.
he only joined the club in January in a South African transfer-record deal, but the Clarets have been so impressed with the Orlando Pirates youth product that they’ve handed him a new deal already.
“Burnley Football Club are delighted to announce that striker Lyle Foster has signed a new five-year deal at Turf Moor,” the club said via a statement.
“The South African striker has adjusted to life in the Premier League impressively, scoring three goals and grabbing two assists in seven games.”
Foster added: “I’m very happy to stay here. It’s a Club with very good people and I have really enjoyed working here and I’m pleased to extend my stay.
“The supporters, Turf Moor, everything here. The way we organise ourselves and our standards something I fell in love with.
“It’s a club that pushes towards excellence and that’s something I want to be a part of.”
Overall, Foster has made 23 appearance since joining Burnely from Westerlo, scoring four goals and setting up three more.
