Pitso Mosimane has expressed his confidence in his team ahead of the Abu Dhabi Derby despite losing the league’s opener last week.
Al Wahda started the UAE Pro League with a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Al Bataeh and will now face Al-Jazira in the derby on Friday evening.
Mosimane’s new team will travel to Thulani Serero’s former side, who won their opening match 3-1 at Al Nasr.
Despite his side’s opening defeat, Mosimane has expressed his confident in his players ahead of his first derby in the UAE.
“Big match, a derby,” he said. “Obviously never easy games, but matches that are full of action, of course.
“We’re playing away, we hope to get the result in Jazira. Yes, didn’t start very well. But it’s ok, it’s the beginning, we all understand.
“Inshallah, we will get back and I hope we can get the results, I believe we can get the results.”
Al Wahda are Mosimane’s fifth club following SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Ahly and Al Ahli.
