Wydad Athletic Club head coach Rulani Mokwena has apologized to the Moroccan FA after his latest remarks about bad officiating and playing in an empty stadium.
Wydad suffered their second defeat since the appointment of Mokwena and the first in the Excellence Cup, narrowly going down 1-0 to Jeunesse Sportive Soualem on Tuesday evening.
The South African mentor found himself in hot water after making comments last week about the match officials and pleaded with the football authorities in Morocco to open the stadium fully for football supporters.

Mokwena quickly apologized to the association, stating that if his comments were found negative, he apologized and he wanted to see Morocco develop football-wise.
“I don’t want to comment, do you want to put me into trouble?” Mokwena told the media.
“I want to say to the Moroccan FA, the public, and the authorities that I am 100% committed to seeing football developing in this country.
“My previous comments were not meant to bring any glimpse of negativity to the league and if there was any form of misunderstanding, then I apologize.
“You will get no further comment from me,” the 37-year-old added.
