Rulani Mokwena has collected his third win since joining Al-Ittihad SC in Libya, beating Al Tersana 2-0 on Wednesday evening.
After two thumping 4-1 wins in his first two games – starting with a victory in the Libyan Cup over Abu Salim before they beat Shabab Al Char in the league, Mokwena’s side made it three out of three.
Mokwena’s side got off to the perfect start, with Naoufel Zerhouni scoring from a header after two minutes.
They carried their lead into the second half, before Mouad Issa doubled Ittihad’s advantage to secure the three points.
Thembinkosi Lorch was not in the squad after already missing the previous match against Shabab.
The victory saw Al Ittihad move to 38 points from 14 games – with 12 wins and just two draws – 11 ahead of second-placed Olympic Azzawiya.
The Libyan Premier League is divided in four groups, with the top three from each group moving onto the Championship round – Mokwena’s side are placed in Group 2.
