South African teenager Camden Schaper is set to join Chelsea in a record transfer, as they beat Manchester City in the race for the talented forward.
The 13-year-old former SuperSport United talent is set to command a compensation fee of over £700k (17-million), according to reports in British media.
Schaper who has long been touted for a major rise in football, having earned a trial at Sporting Lisbon four years ago before his eventual move to the United Kingdom with Blackburn Rovers.
He netted a staggering 45 goals with 65 assists for the Rovers U14s last season, and his deal to the Blues marks the most expensive transfer for a 13-year-old player when the deal is finalised.
