Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies put on a five star performance, thrashing Richmond United 5-0 on festival three of this season’s Hollywoodbets Super League held at the old Peter Mokaba Stadium.

Lelona Daweti, Nonhlanhla Mthandi, Lebohang Ramalepe, Noxolo Cesane and Boitumelo Rabale were on target for the defending champions as they stayed in top spot in the Super Era stream with nine points. On top of the perfect record so far, Godfrey Sapula’s charges are yet to concede as well. Meanwhile United are third from bottom in the pool with three points from as many matches.

TS Galaxy were dominant over rookies Diepkloof Ladies with a 4-1 victory. Leandra Smeda completed a brace with Babalwa Mngxunya and captain Refiloe Jane contributing the other goals as the Mpumalanga-based outfit retained their second place in the stream with seven points. The newcomers remained at the bottom of the log with no points after three rounds of action.

Meanwhile, University of Pretoria (Tuks) upset University of Western Cape (UWC) 2-0 to register their second win of the season. Siyamthanda Qashani and Pulane Moloi scored as Tuks moved to third place in the stream with six points in three outings. The Blues are now fifth on the log with four points from the same number of games.

The other result in the stream saw Limpopo’s Copperbelt Ladies defeat newbies Stellenbosch Ladies 2-1.

In the Super Rise stream JVW remained at the summit of the stream with nine points following a 2-1 win over Ezemvelo. Bonolo Mokoma put a Player of the Match performance, scoring the first goal for the Blue Diamonds while Bongiwe Thusi netted the winner.  Kholeka Bhengu scored the consolation for the KZN side who are second from bottom with no points.

University of Johannesburg (UJ) defeated Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) 4-2 in the highest scoring game of the weekend. Mpho Dlamini’s brace, Lusanda Mavundla and Yolanda Nduli’s goals ensured the Orange army are in second position with six points. Sibongile Ntoane and Thabiso Senyatsi were on the score sheets for TUT who now placed fifth with four points.  

The other results in the stream saw First Touch Academy register their first win of the season a 2-0 victory over bottom placed City Lads while new side Ramatlaohle held University of Fort Hare to a 1-1 draw.
