Hollywoodbets Stars Heading To Spain

Four Hollywoodbets Super League stars are set to jet off to Spain to train with LALIGA side Villarreal as part of the partnership between Hollywoodbets and LALIGA.

They will be embarking on an exciting opportunity to train alongside some of Spain’s finest players at Villarreal CF, who play in the top league of Spanish women’s football.

The players are:

Boitumelo Rabale (Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies): With an outstanding record of 23 goals during the 2022 season, Rabale’s meteoric rise earned her the coveted Player of the Season title.

Nthabiseng Majiya (Richmond United FC): Crowned the Young Player of the Season while representing Richmond United.  Majiya’s potential and passion are undeniable. Her youthful energy and promising skills embody the bright future of women’s football.

Nompumelelo Nyandeni (TS Galaxy Queens): Boasting a staggering 149 international caps, Nyandeni brings experience and leadership to the forefront. From securing the top goal-scorer position to exemplifying excellence on and off the field, she is a true role model.

Katlego Moletsane (Royal AM FC): The Goalkeeper of The Season from Royal AM, showcases remarkable talent between the posts.  Her commanding presence and exceptional reflexes make her a pivotal asset to the game.

These standout players, who showcased exceptional skills during the 2021/2022 Hollywoodbets Super League season, will have training sessions with the Villareal CF, whose women’s team plays in Liga F, the top league for women’s football in Spain.

They will also have the privilege of touring the historic Estadio de la Cerámica, which has over 100 years of history, and watch a LALIGA EA SPORTS match between Villareal CF and Cadiz, adding to the richness of their experience.

They will be joined by 2017 LALIGA Future Coaches Talent Search winner, Sakhile Nkomo from Soweto. After gaining further knowledge in Madrid and Spain, Nkomo has gone on to join the esteemed Pitso Mosimane schools’ program while also coaching his team of juniors, Orlando Real Sweepers FC.

“The Hollywoodbets Super League has shown how investment in women’s football can be a game changer,” said Morgan Sandhu, Head of Operations at Hollywoodbets, who acknowledged the transformative impact of investing in women’s football.

“Last year, we sent the league’s best to Brentford FC, where they got to train with the Premier League’s women’s team.

“In the past few years, we have seen how teams like Sundowns Ladies have become giants on the African continent through their victories in the CAF Women’s Champions League, and how Banyana Banyana have gone from strength to strength as they become a force to be reckoned with. Hollywoodbets is proud to be a part of this journey as South African women’s football goes to the next level.”
