UJ Hammered As Downs Ladies Maintain Lead

Boitumelo Rabale and Nthabiseng Majiya were on target against Royal AM as Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies maintained their nine-point lead at the top of the Hollywoodbets Super League standings, while UJ suffered a shock defeat.

The Lesotho international opened the scoring, for her 12th of the season, while Majiya scored her 10th of the campaign, as they moved to 62 points in 23 matches. The KwaZulu-Natal side dropped to eighth place with 35 points also from 23 games.

University of the Western Cape (UWC) narrowly defeated Copperbelt Ladies 1-0 via Ronnel Donnelley‘s solitary strike to see the Blues maintain second position with 50 points from 20 games, with three games in hand. The Limpopo side remained in 12th place with 22 points in 24 outings.

Elsewhere, First Touch Academy stunned University of Johannesburg (UJ) with a thumping 4-1 victory in Soweto. Despite the loss, the Orange Army stayed in third position due to other results, with 44 points in 23 matches. Dikgoṧigadi tṧa Limpopo moved one place up to seventh with 36 points in 23 games.
