The Premier Soccer League transfer window closed on Friday, but that doesn’t mean local clubs must be done with their transfer business, as the following 16 players are among a host of free agents.
Players, who were out of contract before the window closed, can still be snapped up on a free transfer by any PSL club.

And after the current transfer window, there are some big hitters who are left in limbo and without a club.
The most valuable free agent is Lebo Mothiba, 28. The Bafana Bafana striker has parted ways with Racing Club Strasbourg after six years at the club where he struggled with injuries over the past few seasons. With 20 goals and six assists in 96 games for the Ligue 1 club, many thought he wouldn’t struggle to find a new club but he is still on the hunt after a move to Bundesliga 2 side Karlsruhe broke down.
Keagan Dolly, 31, is another big name, who many thought wouldn’t be without a club for long after Kaizer Chiefs parted ways with the winger. However, after SuperSport United opted to go with Vincent Pule over Dolly, the former Bafana winger is still available.
Bongani Zungu is in the mould of players, who were suggested to not be without a club for long. The 31-year-old was released by Mamelodi Sundowns and has been linked with a move to Wydad Athletic Club where he could reunite with Rulani Mokwena. However, despite Mokwena expressing his interest in the midfielder-turned-defender, he is still available for anyone to snatch him up on a free transfer.
