AmaZulu Set For Shock Coaching Change

Vusumuzi Vilakazi could be on his way out of AmaZulu FC, with Arthur Zwane to become the sole head coach, iDiksi Times has learnt.

In October last year, AmaZulu announced Zwane and Vilakazi as co-coaches following Pablo Franco Martin’s unsuccessful start to the season, which saw Usuthu languish in the relegation zone.

The duo had a good start and pushed the team to fifth place in the league, but they were knocked out of the Nedbank Cup in the Round of 16 by Marumo Gallants away from home.

This publication has gathered that Vilakazi is on his way out of AmaZulu, with Zwane set to take charge of the team as solo head coach for the remainder of the season.

Kanu was however present at training on Monday, and these developments are coming as a surprise.

In the space of one year and six months, Kanu has been involved in three teams, where at Arrows he lasted three months as a head coach before joining Chippa United as technical director which lasted for four months.

Before that joined Richards Bay as the head, and helped the side to survive relegation but was shown the door before the start of the 2024/25 season and joined the AmaZulu DDC side as head coach before he joined the senior side as co-coach with Zwane.
