Another Downs Technical Team Member Leaves

Mamelodi Sundowns fitness trainer Sibusiso Mahlangu has submitted his resignation letter at the club, iDiski Times has learnt.

The club is currently going through transformation following the shock departure of Rulani Mokwena despite him winning the DStv Premiership title, African Football League and being named Coach of the Season.

The likes of Bongani Zungu and Junior Mendieta have also left the club ahead of the 2024/25 season, where the club is also expected to shuffle things up in the technical area.

Assistant coach Manqoba Mngqithi is currently running the rule over things at the Chloorkop-based outfit ahead of their pre-season tour of Austria.

Mahlangu, who was the fitness trainer at Sundowns for over two years, is the latest member to exit the club after resigning with immediate effect.

He started the pre-season with the club when they returned to the club’s base, with his last day at Masandawana being Wednesday before the players were told that he had left the club.

At this stage, this publication is unclear about the reason for Mahlangu’s resignation from Sundowns.
