Stellenbosch FC are on the verge of completing the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Njabulo Blom.

iDiski Times can exclusively confirm that Blom has arrived in South Africa ahead of a move to Stellenbosch.

The former Chiefs midfielder recently left Vietnam side Thep Xanh Nam Dinh F.C after one season, which was plagued by injury he picked up during pre-season.

The 26-year old left Chiefs for MLS side St. Louis CITY SC in January 2023 and initially featured regularly under Bradley Carnell.

However, after falling down the pecking order at the MLS club, Blom returned to Amakhosi on loan in 2024/25, much to the excitement of the club’s fans, but made only 10 starts in 19 appearances.

Blom will be Stellenbosch’s second signing after the signing of Sinoxolo Kwayiba from Chippa United, who is expected to arrive in Cape Town in the coming weeks.

The midfielder previously worked with Gavin Hunt during their time at Chiefs, when Amakhosi reached the CAF Champions League final, with the Amakhosi youth product featuring in 15 CAFCL games that season.

Stellenbosch recently announced the exit of 13 players, as the club implements a major squad revamp under the leadership of Hunt, who extended his deal by two years.
