Burnley FC youth product Tremaine Eastmond has been spotted training with DStv Premiership side Cape Town Spurs.
Eastmond, 20, is an English-born player, who can play as a second striker or as an attacking midfielder.
He was previously on the history books of Burnley’s youth side, where he represented the U18, where he cored three goals and laid three assists in 15 matches.
But he was released in July 2022 before he joined Prestwich Heys in the lower leagues of England. He only spent six months at Heys, as he later joined Abbey Hey.
iDiski Times understands that Eastmond is training with Spurs, who are desperate to add more firepower after losing the first six games of the season, in the hope of being offered a contract.
He is going through an assessment under a watchful eye of head coach Shaun Bartlett – a former striker himself. It’s been over two weeks since he started training with the side.
Spurs have only scored three goals this season, and will next phase Cape Town City in the first Cape Town derby of the season season on 30 September.
