The 31-year old had his contract expiring on 30th June 2026 after signing an extension in 2024.
The South African international spent most of the time last season as a back-up goalkeeper to Brandon Petersen, whom did so well, while Rwandan Fiacre Ntwari has been on the stands most of the time.
However, when called into action when Petersen was injured, Bvuma kept two clean sheets in five games, helping to secure three wins for Amakhosi.
Bvuma is currently the longest-serving player at Chiefs, having made his debut in March 2017.
He is currently sitting on 84 appearances in all competitions for the Glamour Boys and won one Nedbank Cup in 2025 under Nasreddine Nabi.
