Cape Town City have secured a move for Chippa United winger Kayden Francis ahead of the new season.
Francis, 21, has long been touted as one of the future stars of the DStv Premiership when he made his debut for Chippa as a 17-year-old back in 2020.
Last season, he finally enjoyed somewhat of a breakout campaign, netting four goals in 19 appearances which has seen City act swiftly for the pacey winger.
iDiski Times has been informed there’s been a club-to-club agreement for the player, which could see DR Congo youth international Ramazani Tshimanga head in the opposite direction.
Francis has signed a four-year deal to extend with Eric Tinkler’s side who have been active in the market, securing moves for midfield talents Fortune Makaringe, Carlinhos, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Prins Tjiueza and Haashim Domingo.
Defender Alifeyo Sibusiso Ziba and goalkeeper Elson Sithole have also been acquired from JDR Stars and Magesi respectively.
Chippa are also in talks over signing Burkina Faso midfielder Roland Sanou as a direct replacement for Goodman Mosele, who has since returned to Orlando Pirates after his season-long loan in Gqeberha.
