Cape Town City striker Walter Bwalya is ready to make a move away from the club in the upcoming January transfer window.
City landed the DR Congo international striker in an impressive coup for the club as they looked to bolster their attacking options as they looked to return to the top-flight.
Having spent the last few seasons in the North with Algerian giants JS Kabylie, Wydad, and Al Ahly, in between stints in Turkey and the Gulf, the 30-year-old arrived with impressive pedigree.
But things have not gone to plan on either side, and Bwalya is said to be ready to open to a new challenge away from the club – who are also in the process of making changes in the mid-season window.
With a clean termination the likely option, Bwalya could be joining Simon van Duivenbooden as exits in the coming weeks with neither player fully settled into the system of head coach Jan Vreman and several attacking options now within the squad.
After a turbulent start to the season, the Citizens have managed to find form towards the end of the year, and sit in fourth place, five points behind leaders Milford after 14 games.
