Cape Town City have made a u-turn on their decision to part ways with defender Lorenzo Gordinho and instead extended his stay.
Just four days ago, City announced the exit of Gordinho, among nine players the club stated to have parted ways with.
However, this publication can now exclusively reveal that Gordinho has signed a new contract with City until June 2026.
The former Kaizer Chiefs defender is understood to have decided to stay under new coach Jan Vreman.
The Citizens already started their pre-season ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, which is expected to kickstart in August. CTC will play in the Motsepe Foundation Championship after they were relegated.
