Ex-PSL Star Lauds Chiefs Impending Signing

Kaizer Chiefs impending signing Inácio Miguel has been hailed as a leader by Petro de Luanda goalkeeper Hugo Marques.

Miguel, 28, is set to join Chiefs from Petro imminently, as first called by FARPost earlier this week.

The four-time capped Angola international looks set to add more options in defence for head coach Nasreddine Nabi, where he’s able to play on either side of a three-man defence and right-back.

“Inacio is a very good defender, he has lots of experience, he played in Romania, Portugal, he played in the CAF Champions League, you saw him in the games against Sundowns, he had a very good performance,” Marques tells iDiski Times.

“He’s going to add bravery and quality to Kaizer Chiefs, because they need a guy who leads the defence there you know. I hope he succeeds because he’s a very good guy, very good player, very good human.”

Marques kept 25 clean sheets in 36 games last season across all competitions, with Miguel featuring in 25 of those games.
