Former Mamelodi Sundowns set-play coach Michael Loftman has been appointed as head coach of Western Cape ABC Motsepe League side Hout Bay United Football Club.
Loftman recently left Sundowns after a year since he was announced as the set-play coach. He spent a few years at Orlando Pirates as a match analyst and manager, before joining Lommel SK as assistant coach.
The CAF A licence holder was then hired as a performance manager for the Egyptian national team for a period of five months before joining Venda Football Club for a period of four months.
Information gathered by this publication is that Loftman, who also holds UEFA A license from the English FA as well as a Sports Science & Coaching Masters Degree from Brunel University, will lead Hout Bay United Football Club this coming season after they lost their head coach Borja Herranz to Cape Town City.
HUFC is an ambitious ABC Motsepe League that has previously been coached by high-profile coaches including Bradley August.
