Romanian giants FCSB are said to be closing in on signing Bafana Bafana and former FC Copenhagen forward Luther Singh after talks with his representatives.
Singh, 26, spent most of his career in Europe, plying his trade for the likes of SC Braga, Moreirense FC, Chaves, and lastly FK Cukaricki.
The Stars Of Africa Youth Development graduate parted ways with Cukaricki in January 2024.
Information received by iDiski Times states that Singh is edging closer to joining Siyabonga Ngezana’s club FCSB after they had talks with his representatives.
This publication understands that two Egyptian Premier League teams, Zamalek SC and Ismaily, submitted their offers for Singh but they were both rejected as they could not meet the fee that was required by the player’s camp.
Should the deal go through, Singh will be the second South African to be signed by FCSB in a space of a year after former Kaizer Chiefs defender Ngezana, who joined the Romanian champions in August 2023, winning the league title in his debut season.
The Romanian giants returned for pre-season a week ago, as they start preparations for the upcoming season. They have three important games next month, the Super Cup final against Corvinul Hunedoara, and two UEFA Champions League qualifiers clashes against Virtus.
The Soweto-born attacker made 16 appearances for the Cukaricki including four UEFA Conference League appearances. He scored two league goals in the process.
