Former Chiefs Player Completes PSL Return

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Cole Alexander has completed a return to the Premier Soccer League after Polokwane City beat Cape Town Spurs to his signature.

Earlier in January, this publication reported that Rise and Shine were in contention with Spurs for the signing of Alexander after his departure from Helsingborg IF.

Information received by this publication confirmed that the 34-year-old has now completed his move to the Limpopo-based side.

The former SuperSport United midfielder arrived at City training ground earlier in the week and signed his contract after City’s FIFA ban was lifted.

Alexander signed a short-term deal with City, which will keep him at the club up until the end of the season.

It will be the midfielder’s second stint in Polokwane after he already featured in 52 games for them between 2014 and 2016.

The Orange army boasted their squad to make sure they remain in topflight football. They started the 2023/24 campaign well and sit in ninth place before the league will resume in February when they will host Richards Bay.
