Kaizer Chiefs are yet to decide on exercising the option on Sifiso Hlanti’s contract, with his current one set to expire at the end of June.
Hlanti joined the Chiefs in July 2021 from Moroka Swallows and signed a three-year contract with an option to extend.
Since then, the experienced defender made 58 appearances, scoring four times and laying one assist.
This publication understands that Amakhosi, who are expected to once again make wholesale changes in the off-season, haven’t opened any talks over exercising the option they have for the 34-year-old.
With two months before his current contract expires, Hlanti is in the space where he could sign a pre-contract with a team of his choice.
The former Bafana Bafana left-back won the league title with Bidvest Wits in the 2016/17 season, and he also won the Telkom Knockout with Wits a season later.
