SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has confirmed there’s interest in luring Zakhele Lepasa back to the club.
Lepasa, 27, has attracted interest from SuperSport, as previously reported by iDiski Times, after falling down the pecking order at the Buccaneers.

The recent form of Tshegofatso Mabasa, Evidence Makgopa and the return of Boitumelo Radiopane has seen Pirates, who play with one forward in their current system, stacked in the role for the 2024/25 season.
Lepasa previously spent six months on loan under Hunt at Matsatsansa, where he scored twice in 10 games but reignited his career, working his way into the national team and his scoring form for Pirates upon his return from the loan.
“Jesus at the moment yes obviously [we would consider signing Lepasa], but as I say, I can’t do the deals, maybe the days of that getting the old manager like we used to have in the old days, where we did the deals,” he said.
“I never done a deal [here] so it’s gotta get done there [in the boardroom] you know. Boss, must I give you my list of players [I want], we will win the league by 30 points. Then you gotta have a budget of R300m.
“People can say ‘ah, this club has great scouting’, but you obviously scouting for where you can pay, that’s why I say journalism needs to improve along those lines, you need to get your bees in a row, in the world, salaries get mentioned, you need to maybe look at that a bit more.
“You know where I am going with this, expectations, realistically… it’s always difficult, we work with in our constraints, produced young players, that’s what we do.”
SuperSport are currently working on a deal for free agent Samir Nurkovic, who parted ways with TS Galaxy last week.
