Newly-promoted Kruger United have parted ways with some of the experienced players ahead of their debut season in the top-flight.
The Mpumalanga-based outfit earned automatic promotion to the Betway Premiership after a spectacular campaign that saw them finish at the summit of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table.
Kruger, who hit peak form during the crucial tail-end of the season, amassed an impressive 62 points from their 30 league fixtures to secure the coveted title.
However, preparation for life in the big leagues has seemingly been hit by off-field turbulence. Rumours of financial instability have hovered over the club since the completion of the campaign, with information emerging that players faced significant salary delays, particularly during the month of April.
In the wake of these challenges, iDiski Times has been reliably informed that the club has parted company with a core group of senior personnel, including Kagiso Malinga, Celimpilo Ngema, Khethukuthula Ndlovu, Georges Lata, Kabelo Seriba, and Philasande Manqele.
Most of the departing players were instrumental in anchoring the club’s promotion charge, with several of them carrying the vital top-flight pedigree needed to navigate a demanding Betway Premiership debut.
Ndlovu scored ten goals from 27 matches he played while Ngema netted five in 21 games.
