Veteran winger Lindokuhle Mbatha has returned to TS Galaxy for another season in the South African top-flight.
Mbatha, 39, looked set to leave the club and was clear he would like to continue his professional career.
However, he’s been called back to Galaxy for the new season, as he looks to compete with Sphiwe Mahlangu, Thamsanqa Masiya, Komogelelo Sebelebele and Puso Dithejane for a role in Sead Ramovic’s starting eleven.
In a career that dates back to 2006 with City Pillars, Mbatha has played for Mpumalanga Black Aces, Platinum Stars, Mamelodi Sundowns and Highlands Park before the status sale to the Rockets.
He’s amassed 296 appearances in the South African top-flight, scoring 16 goals with 33 assists and represented Bafana Bafana in 2013 at the African Nations Championship (CHAN).
