Golden Arrows have beaten Rwandan giants APR to the services of coach Manqoba Mngqithi.
APR had been in talks with the experienced coach over the last few weeks in an attempt to lure him to their ambitious project, that so far has not been flourishing.
Despite their vast financial resources, over the past few seasons, they have yet to be able to reach the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
While Mngqithi was said to have been enticed by their proposal, sources confirmed to iDiski Times the coach has opted for a return to Arrows, citing an ’emotional’ connection to help the club back up the table.
Mngqithi has made no secret to his affinity towards Arrows, as the club that launched his career in professional coaching and after 12 years away, having left them for Mamelodi Sundowns, he is set to return for a third stint.

He won the 2009 MTN8 trophy during his first stint with Abafana Bes’thende and will be aiming to rebuild the club alongside the likes of his former players; Musa Bilankulu and Kagiso Dikgacoi, who are currently part of the club’s technical team.
