Mokeke Resurfaces At New PSL Club

Cape Town Spurs look boast their squad with experienced versatile Thato Mokeke after Cape Town City exit.

Mokeke spent five years at City before his departure was announced by the club few days ago.

The 33-year-old had six months left on his contract and came to an agreement with the club that he leaves now so that he can start looking for new journey.

According to the information received by this publication, Mokeke was released by City within the January window transfer despite the announcement being made after the Deadline, allowing him to join a club of his choice as a free agent.

iDiski Times understands that the former SuperSport United midfielder arrived at iKamva on Sunday and he is currently training at the club.

The Urban Warriors are interested in signing Mokeke to further bolster their squad, however it is unclear if immediately due to his current condition, having been injured for most of the season.

This would be the third time Mokeke returns to iKamva, if they can come to an agreement with Spurs for a contract.

Ernst Middendorp’s side are sitting right at the bottom of the log with just four points after 16 matches. They will resume their DStv Premiership season against AmaZulu on Saturday.
