Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare could leave the club at the end of the season, with his contract set to expire.
Monare, 34, joined Pirates in October 2020 from Bidvest Wits after the status of the club was sold to Tshakuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
The midfielder has made 93 appearances at Bucs, winning three MTN8 trophies and one Nedbank Cup, and scoring one goal.
‘Desh’ was also part of the Bafana Bafana squad that won a bronze medal at the recent 2023 Africa Cup of Nations that was hosted in Ivory Coast.
The former Jomo Cosmos midfielder renewed his contract with Pirates at the beginning of the season for a year but the contract is ending at the end of June.
By the look of things, Monare could be on his way out of Pirates, as Jose Riveiro has a lot of options in the middle and Desh has only featured in 22 minutes across two games since the AFCON, with Thalente Mbatha also closing in on joining the club permanently.
