SuperSport United head coach Gavin Hunt has confirmed they are looking to bring in Samir Nurkovic after his exit from TS Galaxy.
Nurkovic, 32, parted ways with Galaxy last week via a mutual agreement as he was seeking a more prominent role as a starter, which could not be guaranteed at the Rockets.

Despite playing more of a super-sub role for the club, he managed to net 10 goals in his solitary season and with Bradley Grobler out injured, the club are aiming to secure a experienced replacement.
As reported in the latest edition of iDiski Times, the club have made contact with the player and his representatives, and could still secure him outside of the window, given his exit was within the current window.
“The window closes tomorrow, we obviously need to get one or two in, but it’s pending, hopefully we can do business between now and tomorrow,” Hunt said.
“[Nurkovic] suits our style? Okay… does he? Okay… that’s why that club there [Sundowns] buys all our players. If we play the wrong style why do they buy all our players?
“Uhm, he’s an option, a good option for us obviously if we can, he’s become available but I’m not the bean counter, so it works differently. It is a hurry because we have a game on Saturday and we’re struggling up front, playing midfielders there, so it’s a problem for us.”
SuperSport have also been linked with Orlando Pirates forward Zakhele Lepasa as a potential option up front.
