Former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Khama Billiat has landed a new club, joining Yadah FC in his home country.
Billiat, 33, was initially linked with a move to Dynamos FC, who even had reserved shirt number 12 for him. However, talks between the two sides are understood to have hit a roadblock.
Meanwhile, Yadah FC came in and hijacked the deal for the attacking midfielder.
On Thursday morning, Yadah unveiled the signing of the 33-year-old.
Billiat had been without a team since leaving Kaizer Chiefs after his contract expired at the end of last season.
He spent 13 years in the South African top flight, playing for Ajax Cape Town – now known as Cape Town Spurs – Chiefs and Sundowns.
The former Caps United man won seven trophies in Mzansi, all with Sundowns, including the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup.
