Chippa United have announced the re-signing of goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, as first reported by iDiski Times.
This publication first broke the news on Sunday afternoon that the Chilli Boys were on the verge of snapping up the Nigerian international and welcome him back to the club.
Nwabali, 30, left Chippa earlier this year after returning from the AFCON in Morocco where they won the bronze medal defeating Egypt on penalties.
The exit of Nwabali from Chippa came as a shock as the club was fighting for their lives in the Betway Premiership.
Chippa have now announced that Nwabali has since re-joined the club ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
“Chippa United Football Club is delighted to welcome Stanley Nwabali back to the Chilli Boys,” the club wrote.
“After taking time away, Stanley Nwabali returns to the Eastern Cape, and we are pleased to welcome him back to the club. “🌶️
