Betway Premiership side Chippa United on Wednesday confirmed Sinethemba Badela as their new head coach ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 season.
This is Badela’s first appointment as a head coach in topflight, having worked in South Africa’s first division previously, while last season he was assistant coach to Rulani Mokwena at Wydad Athletic club in Morocco.
The length of the coach’s contract has not been revealed while a statement by the club said additional members of his technical team will be announced in due course.
Badela replaces Thabo September who led the Gqeberha-based outfit to an 11th place finish in the league.
The Chilli Boys also have a new Sporting Director in Sinesipho Mali, as reported by this publication.
