Official: Chippa Sign Former Chiefs Star

Chippa United have signed former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi, as previously reported by iDiski Times.

After having their FIFA ban overturned, Chippa United had indicated they would announce “one or two major signings” on Deadline Day.

On the day, they announced the return of Bienvenu Eva Nga, while no second signing was confirmed, with iDiski Times reporting Mahlatsi had also started training with the club.

The 25 year-old had been a free agent since parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs last year.

The once-promising youth star came through the ranks at SuperSport, also spending time on loan at Ubuntu Cape Town and AmaTuks.

He then joined Swallows for two seasons, making 55 appearances for the Dube Birds, before moving on to Chiefs.

But he made just seven appearances in all competitions for the Amakhosi, who parted ways with him in September.
