Official: City Announce Five Exits

Cape Town City have announced the departures of five players, including former Leicester City midfielder Khanya Leshabela and ex-Mamelodi Sundowns forward Thabiso Kutumela.

The latter was on loan from Masandawana and returns to his parent club after featuring in 26 DStv Premiership games for the Citizens.

In addition, to Kutumela Leshabela also leaves the club after only joining them in February.

The former SA U23 international only made nine appearances for Eric Tinkler’s side, starting just three of those.

Jo Paciencia also leaves after just one season in the mother city, as reported by this publication, with the Angolan scoring two goals in 21 league matches.

Goalkeeper Bongani Mpandle and midfielder Relebogile Mokhuoane were the other two players who were let go.

Meanwhile, City have also been busy on the signing front, with Haashim Domingo, Kamohelo Mokotjo and Fortune Makaringe all joining the club, as reported by iDiski Times.

They’s also secured the services of Carlinhos from Petro de Luanda, while Prins Tijuana joined them in January already but was injured.
