Former Orlando Pirates, AmaZulu and Stellenbosch FC defender Wayde Jooste has signed for Motsepe Championship side Highbury FC.
Jooste, 34, revived his career at Stellenbosch after being clubless for a few months following his exit from Usuthu.
But despite making 12 appearances for Stellies, he was part of the players who were released by the Cape Winelands side.
However, Jooste, who was on the books of Pirates between 2020 and 2022, has now landed his next club in his home province.
“Highbury FC is delighted to welcome Wayde Jooste to the club,” the club stated.
“A proud son of Port Elizabeth, Wayde returns to the Eastern Cape after an accomplished career in the Betway Premiership. Capable of playing at right back and right wing, he brings experience, versatility, and quality to our squad.
“Having represented Bloemfontein Celtic, Golden Arrows, Stellenbosch Fc and Orlando Pirates, Wayde joins Highbury with a wealth of top-flight experience.
