Premier League giants Liverpool have announced the signing of young centre-back Jeremy Jacquet from Stade Rennais.
Jacquet, 20, joins the Reds in a deal worth €63.6 million after a breakout season in Ligue 1.
The French youth international made 21 appearances for Rennais before a shoulder injury kept him sidelined from February.
“I feel really good, the first impressions are good and I am very happy to start here,” Jacquet told liverpoolfc.com.
“I am very happy. When I see the facilities, I can see myself there. I feel good here and I am very excited to get started.
“For me it’s a big dream, it’s a big club. A club like Liverpool, it’s a big dream for me.”

He becomes Liverpool’s second signing ahead of the 2026/27 season after the arrival of Spanish winger Victor Munoz from Osasuna.
The Reds are entering a new phase at Anfield under new head coach Andoni Iraola who replaced Arne Slot.
