Official: Monare Unveiled By New Club After Pirates Exit

Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare has been unveiled as one of three new signings by Sekhukhune United, as first reported by iDiski Times.

Monare, 34, was part of the  South Africa national team squad that secured third place at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

However, he fell out of favour under Jose Riveiro at Pirates and the club announced his exit upon the expiry of his contract.

Monare, though, was quickly snapped up by Babina Noko and iDiski Times sources confirmed he’s put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal.

Babina Noko will have an option to extend the deal by a further season when his original two-year deal comes to an end with the experienced midfielder.

On Friday, Sekhukhune announced Stash’s arrival along with Thabang Monare, goalkeeper Lloydt Kazapua and left-back Vuyo Letlapa.
