Orlando Pirates latest signing has been confirmed after Hope FC announced that teenage sensation Edmilson Chaney has joined the Buccaneers.
Chaney, 19, made his name in the colours of Hope FC in the ABC Motsepe League last season and lit up the ABC Motsepe League promotional playoffs earlier this year in the Eastern Cape.

Several Betway Premiership and MFC teams then showed interest in the 19-year-old, but Pirates won the race for the skilful winger.
“Edmilson “Millies” Chaney departs Hope FC after completing a transfer to Orlando Pirates,” Hope stated on Monday.
“A young man who played an important role in our promotion and whose journey represents exactly what we want Hope FC to stand for — creating opportunities and pathways for young talent to reach the highest level.
“To Millies and his family, we wish you nothing but success on this next chapter.”

It was initially thought that he had been loaned back to The Immortals for the 2026/27 campaign, but there was no mention of such by Hope FC.
