Official: Raja Coach Earns Bundesliga Move

Raja Athletic Club Goalkeeper Coach Stephan Loboué has earned a move to the Bundesliga 2 after their exceptional Botola Pro campaign.

Josef Zinnbauer’s side secured the league title as Invincibles, conceding only 15 goals in 30 games, credited to their sound defence and goalkeeping.

And the former Ivory Coast goalkeeper, who had a short stint in the DStv Premiership with Golden Arrows, was lauded for his work with captain Anas Zniti.

Last week, Raja confirmed they allowed him to leave the club to return to Germany and Schalke 2 side has since confirmed his arrival, where he will work alongside Karel Geraerts.

“Stephan will bring fresh impetus to our training sessions,” the coach said.

“He knows the league and has made steady progress as a goalkeeping coach over the past few years.”

Loboue has already worked as Reserves and Youth Goalkeeper Coach at Eintracht Frankfurt and is a familiar face in the Bundesliga, having made 82 appearances for Greuther Fürth and Paderborn.

Raja, meanwhile, are facing an uncertain future despite their exploits with players and coaching staff all linked with new challenges ahead of the 2024/25 season.
