Sekhukhune United have confirmed the departures of Lesiba Nku, Lebogang Phiri, Ronaldo Maarman, Sphiwe Mahlangu and Samkele Sihlali.
Nku joined the Limpopo side in January 2026 from Stellenbosch but struggled to make an impact. He made 10 appearances across all competitions contributing just one assist. iDiski Times reported in June 2026 that the winger was handed his clearance last month.
Phiri also arrived at the Limpopo club in January having endured months inactive as he did not have a club. He managed six matches with Babina Noko five coming in the league.
Meanwhile, Maarman and Mahlangu spent the previous campaign at Durban City where they helped the KwaZulu-Natal side finish in the top eight and also clinch the Nedbank Cup. Sihlali was in the Motsepe Foundation Championship last term at Gomora United.
The club said in a statement on their X platform that the players’ contracts were terminated mutually.

They also thanked the players for their dedication, commitment and contribution while also wishing them success in their future endeavors.
