Official: Sekhukhune Confirm Seema Decision

Sekhukhune United confirmed that the club has gone separate ways with head coach Lehlohonolo Seema whose contract will not be renewed beyond 30 June 2024.

Seema was placed on “special leave” in mid-May just before the 2023/24 DStv Premiership campaign came to a close. The club went on to finish in fourth place to qualify for the MTN8 competition next season.

The former Chippa United mentor picked up the Coach of the Month accolade for April after aiding Babina Noko to collect 15 out of 15 points.

Following his suspension, assistant coach MacDonald Makhubedu, assisted by Paulos Masehe, saw out the club’s two last games.

United released a statement via its social platforms on Friday, confirming that they had parted ways with the 44-year-old who hails from Mafeteng in Lesotho.

The former Orlando Pirates captain was appointed United head coach back in November 2023 after they effectively prized him away from neighbouring Polokwane City.
