Stellenbosch FC have confirmed 20-year-old defender Simthandile Sishi’s pomotion to the senior tam ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Since joining Stellies in 2022, Sishi wore the club’s armband and played a pivotal role as they captured both the DStv Diski Challenge and Premier League Next Generation Cup titles two seasons ago.

With Brian Onyango and Olivier Toure recently having left the club, Sishi will look to establish himself on a regular basis and take his game to a new level in the first team.
The youngster took time to express his gratitude at the club for his promotion as well as what he hopes to achieve next season.
“I’m very excited to sign a professional contract,” he told the club’s official website.
“Playing in the DDC, winning the DDC, and taking part in the Next Gen Cup helped me grow as both a player and an individual, and I feel ready to make the step up.”
