Johannes had racked up 65 appearances for SSU since joining the club in 2021, as a right-back and centre-back, and has been on the fringes of the Bafana Bafana squad in recent months.
On Monday, Sundowns announced his signing on a multi-year deal, while iDiski Times has been informed he’s penned a four-year deal with the club but is currently still recovering from an injury he suffered towards the end of last season.
Johannes marks Sundowns third official signing after Kobamelo Kodisang was lured from Portuguese top-flight side Moreirense and the arrival of Brazilian forward Arthur De Oliveira Sales from Belgian side Lommel SK, while they also agreed a deal for young Sekhukhune United defender Asekho Tiwani, who is yet to be unveiled.
