Al Wahda are closing in on the signing of Raja Atheltic Club midfield sensation Ahmadou Ama Camara.
The 20-year-old burst onto the scene at the end of last season in an incredible rise to the first team at the Botola Pro giants.
From being an immigrant from Guinea, rising from abject poverty as an amateur footballer to breaking into the first team in the space of a couple of years showed his immense potential.
He’s made just 12 appearances for the first team, but the technically gifted midfielder who starred in the CAF Champions League in their 2-0 defeat to Al Ahly in Cairo was handed a new five-year deal as interest started brewing in his services.
However, iDiski Times has it on good authority that Pitso Mosimane’s side are making inroads into luring him to Abu Dhabi.
Sources indicate that both Raja and Camara are open to the deal and talks are progressing for a long-term contract for the promising midfielder.
Al Wahda view the Guinean as an important signing who could form part of their long-term ambitions of becoming a force in the UAE Pro League.
