PSL Duo Set To Undergo Portuguese Trial

PSL duo Liam De Kock of Stellenbosch FC and Isa Mangera of La Masia FC depart this week for Lisbon where they’ll be pitted through their paces under the watchful eye of Portuguese scouts.

De Kock a left-sided central defender is currently part of Steve Barker’s setup and while he’s received limited game time under Barker his previous successes with the club’s development side (Diski) which he captained previously caught the attention of Kaizer Chiefs amongst others.

Mangera a left fullback at 18 years old is relatively unknown in the local football fraternity but it’s been suggested that current Chiefs stand-in coach Cavin Johnson has courted the player having previously recruited the player to La Masia while serving as technical director.

The players’ Madrid-based agent Mikhail Robertson of Lion Sports Management confirmed their impending travel to Portugal but would not shed any further light on the specifics of the assessment.
